What is your favorite thing about teaching? Interacting with the amazing young talent we have at our school and the highly qualified staff who work with them.
Hobbies & Special Interests: I have two crazy dogs who dogs who keep me busy, I love to run and have been in several half marathons and local running events. I play every sport imaginable (lacrosse being my favorite) and I love to read and entertain friends.
What type of music do you listen to? Anything, depending on my mood
Favorite foods: I love mac and cheese, pizza and I have a wicked sweet tooth
Pets: Jake a 3 year old Boxer and Beau an 8 year old Beagle mix.
What is your favorite thing to learn about? Forensic science!! I am addicted to CSI type stuff. The gore-er the better.
Why did you start running? In high school I started cross country to get in shape for basketball season and was a pretty good runner, so I have been running since the 9th grade.

What do you hope to gain from this trip? I hope to gain a better appreciation of the Chinese culture, and their educational system. On personal note this will only be my second marathon and they are a test to your perseverance so I will gain a sense of pride from accomplishing goal and enduring all the training. I also want kids to see that if you set a goal no matter how lofty that you can achieve it especially if you use resources. A group or team can accomplish so much more than any individual and that is a good lesson to learn early.
What are the five coolest things you have ever done?
1. Swam with dolphins in the Bahamas
2. Visited Grand Cayman and saw all the cool wildlife
3. Hiked the Grand Canyon and rafted the Colorado River.
4. Won the State AAA high school Lacrosse Championship
5. Trekked cross country on a bus with 70 girls to camp in Wyoming for a month
